Mark your calendars! Beavers will invade the Oregon Capitol on April 20th, 2017.

OSU Day is one of the most visible advocacy days in Salem and reminds legislators of OSU’s role as one of only two land-, sea-, sun- and space-grant universities in the country. Each year, Oregon State University students, alumni, and supporters descend on the Capitol in Salem to share their OSU experiences and meet their legislators. Register now!

OSU DAY 2017 EVENTS INCLUDE:

Morning: The OSU Meistersingers will perform the invocation on the House floor, the String Quartet will offer an invocation in the Senate, the OSU ROTC Color Guard will post the colors in both chambers, and selected visitors will join OSU's alumni in the Senate on the Senate floor. See if you can spot Benny the Beaver from the House Gallery!

8:00am-5:00pm: Join us in the Galleria where a few of OSU's programs will be on hand to share OSU's impact around the state. Learn about OSU's apiculture efforts through our observation hive and play giant Jenga with OSU's College of Forestry!

11:30am-4:00pm: Pharm.D. students from OSU's College of Pharmacy will host a health fair at their booth in the Capitol Galleria. Operation Heart and Operation Diabetes will be present for blood pressure screenings and blood glucose testing.

All Day: Individual meetings with legislators, booths in the Galleria, pictures with Benny, and more!

Afternoon: A reception in the Capitol Galleria, including an award for the smartest legislator in the Assembly. Each year, legislators are challenged to move to the head of the class by demonstrating how much they know about OSU.
